We invite you to participate to the third European Amphibian Club.

The aims of this conference on amphibians are to foster a European network for scientists using amphibians in molecular biology, to improve the perception of amphibians as a model with particular benefit in translational medicine, to initiate and consolidate the interest of young scientists to work with amphibians.

In support of this effort toward young scientists, the registration fees are kept low (130 €). Along with the possibility of accomodation at the sint-Bavohumaniora (3 nights 150 €) This makes a low cost meeting for your PhD students. Please , see details in the corresponding pages (registation and accomodation).

In June 2017 and June 2019, the first and second European Amphibian Club were held in Rennes (France) and Halle-Wittenberg (Germany). They attracted each more than 100 participants from most of the European countries as well as from outside Europe. Participant met to discuss new findings, which were based on the use of amphibians (Anura and Urodela) as model organisms for modern molecular and cellular biology. The unique feature of this new conference series is that all aspects of amphibian-based science are covered. Scientists working on cell cycle control meet stem cell and developmental biologists to discuss questions of signaling pathways which play an important role in cancer and translational medicine but the same scientists will also have the opportunity to gain insight from stuctural biologist. The broad expertise of all participants will spark new ideas in specialized fields to approach scientific problems from new directions.

The conference will attract and promote young scientists. In each session, we will have open slots for ~20 min talks and 5 min oral poster presentations. Organized meetings between young and advanced scientists should provide an easily accessible platform to meet and find young interested scientists and support their commitment to the field of modern amphibian biology.
